The hotel is nicely located in the Evora historical center and has free private parking. The building is charming, being an ancient typical house of the alentejo which has been renovated. The welcome is warm and smiling. We had a double room with private bathroom. The room was quite big but I don't like bedrooms with "azulejos" (wich seem to be quite common in portuguese pensions) cause they make me feel as I was sleeping in a bathroom! The bathroom (the real one!) was very small, the shower was minimum size and uncomfortable, and the plate had holes in the ceramic that were dark and oxidated and made it look like dirty. Cleaness was not bad but could be better. The worst thing, that prevents me from recommending this hotel, is the quality of sleep: I almost couldn't sleep and in the morning I had pain all over my back and neck because the mattress was an ancient spring mattress and I had several broken springs piercing all over my body, and the pillow was a pillowcase full with woolen balls which I just refused to use. The breakfast was poor as well. Coffee, milk or tea, bread (which you couldn't even toast) and marmalade. Overall, I don't think it's worth the price.
