“Terrible and expensive internet, smoke in room, no alarm clock”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

Not everything was bad, but I had to stay in this hotel for 2 weeks due to job. I got a discounted rate of 5Euro per night for internet, but it was very hit or miss. Conducted download test and it showed only .67Mbs download and .29 on the upload.

I had very bad smoke in my room since the lounge was on the main floor below me. I ended up getting moved at 0130 of the second night of my complaint. So bad I felt sick and had a rough throat for 3 days not to mention not sleeping well. Once I was moved, the smoke issue didn't present itself again.

They like to save electricity which I applaud, but to be so cheap that they don't put an alarm clock in the room was too cheesy for me.

The "Bed" was 2 uncomfortable twin beds together the first few nights. The queen bed in my new room was better, but not a 4 star bed by any standard.

Breakfast was a good continental buffet, but stay away from the eggs and bacon as the eggs are all runny. Plent of juice to pic from and bread is pretty fresh.

Bathroom was the highlight of this place. Granite tile and everything works.

Room Tip: If you don't smoke, make sure the get you far from the bar/lounge

“Good hotel”

Well , thats a nice hotel, but a average one, not luxuos at all. Breakfast could be better, very few choices for a 4 * Hotel. The rooms were ok, but very simple.... A very simple hotel for 2 nights.
Negative : the number of chairs at the pool..it had like 6 to 8 chairs maximum...3 couples get them all and he didnt have any for us.
For me this is more a 3* hotel , but a very good one.
But i recommend this hotel.

“Bejaparque best value in Beja”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2009

A good sized room with balcony which did not have any chairs or tables! They supplied a small bottle of both combined shampoo and shower gel.

Large pool area with two pools, one for children, and sun-loungers, the latter were not very clean and had dirty shoemarks at one end.

The breakfast was poor, with both bread and pastries tasteless. There was only a small selection of fresh fruit and the juice would have helped you glow in the dark – it was so full of tartrazine and artifical colouring!! However we ate twice in the restaurant for dinner and on both occasions the food was good. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.

We were charged E4 for pool towels, which was not refundable. We also reported that the toilet seat was loose, but it remained unrepaired for the duration of our stay of three days.

It is very difficult to park in the centre of Beja, and this hotel is on the edge which is an added bonus. There is a reasonable amount of free parking, although some people may not like it as it is adjacent to a filling station.

“Everything a good hotel can give in Beja”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 March 2009

My wife and I travelled all over Portugal (and to some Spanish cities near the Portuguese border as well). Bejaparque hotel was one of the best hotels we stayed in that trip. The room was neat and comfortable, and breakfast was more than satisfactory. It is not downtown Beja, but since it is not a big city we were quite near all main attractions. And the hotel is absolutely quiet - wonderful for us who really needed a good night of sleep.
