We stayed at the hotel Messeyne this past month (May, 2011), and I can not recommend it highly enough. It is absolutely charming, with tasteful touches throughout that successfully mix classic with modern. Our room looked out upon a lovely garden, and their patio is a relaxing spot to enjoy a glass of wine. However, you can also easily walk down the street to the main marketplace and find many pubs to try a glass of Belgium beer.

Most impressive was the dinner we had there, which was a gormet delight. But I think the feature I most appreciated was the gracious arrangement the hotel has made with the local taxi services - such that they pay for your cab ride from AND to the train station! In all of my travels, I have never experienced such a thoughtful gesture by a hotel, which certainly has my loyalty and recommendation from hereon in.

The hotel has a great location in the city of Kortrijk. All intresting places (Kortrijk 1302 and Broel museum, 2 churches, Broel towers, Belfort, Begijnhof, K shopping centre, market place) are within walking distance (< 500 m). The hotel has a free parking.
We stayed at the back side in the very comfortable room nr. 3 with view on the garden.
We enjoyed a nice breakfast with fresh orange juice, croissants and smoked salmon.

We recently stayed at this hotel for one night whilst travelling around France and Belgium. We managed to get a great deal (80 euros) for a family room. The hotel is gorgeous and modern and has a lovely outdoor seating area. Its also on 5-10 min walk from the main square. The rooms are very modern and spacious too. But what made our visit special was the staff and service. They couldnt have done more for us, from giving us maps of kortrijk, to bringing coffee to the room after the official room service finished, and also some complimentary sweets for the kids (aged 3 and 7 who were very impressed)!! When we left our sat nav wasnt working and we needed to get to Brugge and one staff member printed off some excellent directions for us to follow. We can't wait to go back again and would recommend this hotel without a second thought.

While I have a home in a town adjacent to Kortrikj it has been undergoing renovation for the past year and occasionally I have a need to utilize a local Hotel and a friend recommended this property. It was a Gem the owner and her staff are friendly, professional and the service was excellent. My room was typical for a Boutique Hotel not luxury but it worked. There was a tub with a shower hose instead of a full shower. I will say I stayed in room 27 and the one and huge downfall was at approx 4:30/ 5:00 am the smells from the kitchen permeated my room. As a rule I would have complained but I did not. I simply started my work out earlier. The gym was clean and well maintained as is the sauna. My internet did not work in room but there is a computer available but the printer did not work.
