We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in July and was impressed by the spacious room, location, service and restaurant. I'd requested an extra bed for our 5yr old daughter and that extra bed was easily accommodated in our large room. It was room #1, on the ground floor, that faces the back gardens. The room has full length doors that opens to the back garden, which seems to extend the space. The one downside of this room is that one side of it looks on to the middle court yard cafe. We didn't hear any noise from the outside while we were there, but it was a cloudy week and there wasn't much traffic on the outside patio.
Requests for extra sheets or late room cleanings were handles promptly. The breakfast at the restaurant is buffet style so it's pretty quick and simple. They do serve eggs to order. The decor of the room was tasteful. The room had a large flat screen TV and plenty of power outlets for us to charger multiple devices at once.
We had dinner at the restaurant one night and it was the best meal we had during our 12 days in Belgium. I would highly recommend the restaurant. If it's a weekend, do make a reservation as the place ( and many other places in Kortrijk) fills up. We went out to other adjacent restaurants on a Saturday without a reservation and couldn't get into several places. Finally ended up at one of the places surrounding the main town square.
Do take advantage of the free taxis that are provided by the hotel. If it rains, be prepared for a long wait for a taxi as free service offered by a single cab company. If you are arriving in Kortrijk by train, it may also make sense to call the hotel before you get there to have taxi waiting at the train station. When we got off the train midday on a wednesday and couldn't find a cab for a long while. We finally had to walk across to the Park hotel and they called one of the free cabs.
