I stayed here one night with my partner as it seemed as a good bargain. We booked the room through their website at less than 80 €/ night for a double room with breakfast.
The hotel is situated at about 10 min walk from the center. Downstairs it looks new and renovated but the rooms are deceiving. Our room was big enough with a balcony and a bathtub, but it wasn't really clean. I mean the windows were dusty and so was the curtains with an insect trapped inside. Overall it looked like in need of renovation of furniture and carpets. The bed was fine though. The breakfast was fine served in the large dining room, nothing exceptional but no problems either. The best was the swimming pool with the massage jet and the jacuzzi, which weren't crowded by people nor small children.
If I remember correctly there's also a sauna but not free of use.
The hotel has many offers and discounts but they seem to be most suitable for seniors.
Otherwise, I would say, Oostende is not a beautiful city architecturally and there's just not that much to do, except walking along the beach, having drinks and eating in restaurants. Service wasn't always friendly and many places were over priced and not very clean to Belgian standards. But one can find exceptional places as anywhere and enjoy the air of the sea.
For that price, maybe I would stay here again just for the swimming pool...
