“Prado in Ostende, a good address”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2010

I was staying some days in Prado. It was good stay but if this is No. 1 I do not want to try any other around. The hotel is very well located .100 m away is the Casino which is the most central place here. The parking is not at the hotel, I would say 300 m away, not to far. The beach is close by, many restaurants and the Haven and the marina are also 10 minutes away. In a nutshell excellent location.
Like everything on the belgian coast the available surface is very limited: each floor has four rooms; two at the front and two on the rear. The best view is on the front; the back rooms have a fire stair in front of the window which is not so nice but in case of fire highly welcomed.
There is a reception on the ground floor with an additional room for serving breakfast. The breakfast is good but remember that the hotel has 28 rooms only. There is a bar but it opens only Friday and Saturday.
The rooms have enough space, the bathroom is quite big and was very clean. I have to admit the room and the bath were not exceptional but very well kept. It has a TV with several TV chanels of belgian and Holand. It also include a couple of british and one german Channel. see the snapshots below

“Thank you Hotel Prado!”

We were badly let down by the Best Western Hotel around the corner, and were very lucky to get the last two rooms at Hotel Prado. So glad we found this little gem of a hotel!

Great location, spotlessly clean, very modern and fresh. My daughters shared a triple room and my husband and I had an exclusive room with a nice view overlooking the square. Soundproofing was quite good and bed was comfy. Bathrooms were lovely with dressing-gowns and spare toothbrushes (if you needed them). Very smart flat screen TV. The only thing lacking was tea/coffee making facilities.
Good breakfast and very friendly staff, secure parking underground at Casino carpark was literally just 2 mins walk away, and 18euro for 24 hours. Not bad.

Would definitely stay at this hotel again. Thank you for saving our celebratory weekend.

“Excellent small hotel in great location”

We stayed at The Prado for 3 nights in July 2009 and would heartily recommend it. It's a small hotel in a central location. Very clean. Excellent rooms, great hot, cooked breakfast and friendly staff. The shower was great - very hot and powerful - and the bathroom was large. The bar on the 1st floor is worth a visit and all in all, I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it wholeheartedly. We were even given champagne with our breakfast on the last morning too, a real treat.

“A really good small hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2008

The first thing that strikes you about the Prado is the high standard of cleanliness, match this with a friendly staff and good size modern rooms all at a reasonable price and you cant go wrong.
The hotel is located near the seafront and casino and is also close to a large selection of restaurants.
There is no evening catering at the Prado but there is a bar on the first floor which unfortunately does not open until 08.30. The breakfast however is excellent with cooked items and cold meats, yogurts, cereals and juices with the addition of champagne on a Sunday.
Our room was on the seventh floor overlooking the small park. The room was well equipped containing a fridge along with television including English channels. No tea or coffee making facilities are available. The beds are comfortable and covered with good quality bed linen and pillows. The room is double glazed which keeps out the majority of noise from the occasional drunk at midnight and traffic. As a light sleeper I had little trouble with disturbance.
The bathrooms are large and extremely well fitted however the shower is a bit of a weak affair.
Well done Prado, I will come again
