We stayed in the apartment that the hotel offers, however, we found it all very misleading with regard to the accomodation. It is not clear that the apartment is located in another building 50 yards down the road and lacks the amenities provided by the hotel.

There is no Wifi available here, the lady at reception was quite dismissive of it stating 'sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't'- thanks for that!

The apartment is quite nice in itself although it is quite lacking in the facilities you would expect. There is no mini bar as provided in the hotel. There was only one lamp in the double bedroom and the bed is a fold out one which is really uncomfortable! There is only one plug in the room in total meaning another lamp couldn't be removed. The second room was ok with proper beds in twin style.

The bathroom only has a bath, there is a no shower available apart from one by the tap for washing hair while sat in the bath. For three people this isn't really appropriate, let alone 4 people and the hot water ran out after 2 baths meaning we had to boil pans for the third person.

Also make sure you book parking in advance as you have to park down the road in an underground car park which cost 63Euros for 3 days.

On a positive note, the tv was great and the lounge area was very spacious. Some of the staff were really friendly but it was dispapointing not being in the main building. The location is also fantastic and very close to the beach and other activities.

We'd go for the hotel rooms definitely though next time as we felt 500Euros was overpriced for what we got.

The hotel gave us a very warm welcome. Our room was very comfortable and clean, breakfast was excellent - great choice! The staff could not have been more helpful - attended to our every need and helped with maps of town, etc. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the hotel for four nights. Our room was nice,not large but quite acceptable. The location is great, few minutes from the promenade and beach. Also about 15 minutes from the railway station on foot, you need not a taxi at the arrival and departure. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
We have been to Bruges. Only 10 minutes from Ostende by train. The city is brilliance! You have to visit it.
We liked the shopping street in Ostende, there are many nice cafes with not expensive prices around the street. Do not try to eat at the promenade, prices are considerably more expensive.
You can drink beverages, tea and coffee in the hotel bar on the first floor in the evening. The staff are very pleasant.
We experienced some difficulties with taking pizza at the restaurant on the promenade at about 9 pm. We were told that it was too late for pizza.:) Many restaurants were closed for entrance at about 9 pm. Be discreet, eat in time.:)
There was very windy near the sea in the evening. You need to have a windproof clothing.
I would recommend this hotel for a visit to Ostende.

Booked a two night half board deal for 3rd & 4th of December, great service at check in and restaurant, car parking around 5 minutes walk from the hotel (but covered & secure) 12 Euros per 24hrs plus 25 Euro deposit for the entry card. Room was of a good standard & clean but could do with Tea / Coffee making facilities as you would expect for a four star rating! The bathroom was reasonable but clean and some of the marble type tiles in the bath / shower area had staining. The only real problem was that the evening meal menu was set & you didn't seem to have a choice if you didn't like the food! bottled water was very expensive too. Service was very good so to sum it up I'd say it was more of a three star hotel but I would certainly visit again.
