Sure, this hotel could use some renovation, but in this case, that is exactly what makes it charming. You really feel like you've gone back in time. The stylish outside, the ballroom, the wide (dark) corridors... you feel you're back to the early nineteensomethings.

Be sure to get a room at the front, with balcony. Sure, the balcony is small, but the view is superb. The boulevard, the beach, the sea; a stunning view.

Breakfast was average. We didn't have dinner at the hotel; so I can't comment on that. Plenty of nice places to eat on the boulevard or in the city centre.

The last evening, it was raining quite bad, and the rain came into the room from the balcony through some cracks. When we mentioned this the next morning at the reception, they didn't sound surprised. "Yeah, it's an old building, we know this happens".

Honest, in 9 out of 10 cases I would say: fix it, renovate it, and maybe I'll come back. This is the exception. I like it the way it is, with its history and its quirks.

The hotel is old but not so bad, clean room but dirty swimming pool, good food, nice pub!

I stayed one night in July. I was given a room without seasight because of the cheap rate. The room was very clean. A bathroom with a shower and seperate toilet! I even had a desk where I could work. There was free wifi. Even the room was outdated the room was clean which made a lot good. The breakfast with seaview was beautiful and the breakfast buffet was delicious!! The hotel is big and has everything except a pool.

Stayed for just one night after finding an amzing deal on ebookers. £53 for a room- unfortunately only a car park view, but we discovered when we arrived that the rate included breakfast which was priced at 16 Euros a night. The hotel is in need of redocoration which is ongoing, but the whole place has a ''victorian'' charm. (wrong country I know for Victorian charm !!!!) which was very enjoyable. The room was very comfortable with everything you'd expect for a 4* hotel, but for some reason no tea making facilities.. Highly recommended for the price we paid, but with a regular room rate of 210 Euros even more so!!!!
