We had purchased a package deal (boat to/from the island, one free tour of your choice, whirlpool bath, view of city / mountain or beach, continental breakfast). Needless to say we arrived to a very unfriendly staff. Were given a voucher for the submarine ride - told them we prefered the casino tour since we had the "free tour of our choice." Was told they no longer give a choice. They had screwed up our boat reservations twice before arriving -getting the dates and times wrong. Went to our room to find the view of a roof next door, no whirlpool tub. Politely showed them the brochere for our package deal we purchased, were shown 2 more rooms and finally just took the best they could offer. The blinds were falling apart, the whirlpool tub was very small, rusted and old looking. "Continental breakfast" was stale muffins and a bowl with apples. It was our 10th anniversary and we were so very disappointed.

Sorry but the Glenmore Hotel gets a big thumbs down, the hotel is need of modernisation, the food was poor and cold, the breakfast buffet was not replentished quick enough, not much room in the dining area, some of the rooms our party had were in a poor state of repair ie plywood where a mirror should be, loose wires either side of the bed, televisions not functioning correctly, the hotel staff walked around looking as though they had lost a close relative (i never saw a smile) there are plenty of other better hotels in the immediate area such as the atlantic, princess etc but if you do not believe me try it out and waste your money.....or you could believe me and the 30 people that was with our party!!!!!

This is a great hotel very warm and friendly. The staff are super. We have stayed each time we have travelled to Ostende and only stayed some were else due to hotel being closed out of season. Mr Simpson
