We received a warm and friendly welcome to this beautiful guest house only a short walk from the centre of Bruges. Decorated in a tasteful contemporary style, both the rooms and guest dinning area were immaculate in every way. The addition of a guest kitchen with fridge for each room, was an especially nice touch, and secure gated entrance particularly comforting for us motorcyclists. Our only regret is that we could only stay for one night, but when we return to beautiful Bruges, it will be here.

We loved De Bleker! Ann and Guy, the two owners, are very friendly, welcoming and helpful people. The beautiful house has a great location close to the city center, which you can easily explore by foot. The house has a large and pretty garden, which - in good weather - you can enjoy on a lounger. There are only three rooms, each slightly differently designed, with very chic bathrooms. All rooms are double rooms, decorated in different colours. Downstairs is a communal area with a small reading room with an open fire (in winter), which opens up to a large eating area which looks upon the garden. There is also a laptop with internet access. Right next to the eating area is a kitchen, which can be used for making some tea or to store something in the fridge. Everything is very clean. Ann and Guy serve an excellent breakfast with tea and coffee, croissants, jam, cheese, ham, fresh fruit, yoghurt and boiled eggs. Everything speaks of the love they put into their little B&B. We will certainly go back!

This "guest house" is located only 10 minutes from the main centre/square in Bruges so is ideal for exploring the town.

The house was immaculate in decor and very, very clean with free private and secure parking.

The room we stayed in had a lovely big bed and sunken bath but issues arose over the "open-plan" toilet.

As far as we were aware, there are only 3 guest rooms so it is a very small establishment.

The downside to the accomodation is that you can clearly hear all the other guests whilst in their rooms and each time a door opens/closes (my partner complained he couldn't sleep!).

Therefore, if you want somewhere which is hospitable and central but not very private then choose here, otherwise go for a proper hotel!!
