We have just returned from one night in Bruges and at Sint Niklaas. The owner Anne made us feel most welcome in her home and we chose the Rooftop room. It is more than spacious enough, very clean with a bathroom en suite. Everything about Sint Niklaas was excellent and breakfast is plentiful. Not being big breakfast travellers the selection of breads, pastries, meats and fruit was more than we could eat and we almost felt embarrassed that we managed only a little.
Lovely views from the rooftop across to the Belfry and a few minutes walk to the centre of Bruges. Anne recommended several restaurants but we found another called The 57 within 2 minutes walk in the main street Wollestraat. It has only recently opened and overlooks the canal at low level. The food was excellent and the value for money matched. Really friendly too as was Bruges in general.
Parking as suggested in the 24 hour Pandreitje car park was a little worrying at first as it is underground but it was very safe, clean and appeared to be secure and attended all night. Good value at less than 9 euros and just a few minutes walk.
All in all we had a good taster of Bruges and Sint Niklaas certainly lived up to previous reviews. We shall definitely return.
