We stayed for three nights over New Year in the loft suite. The accomodation was wonderful, a two floor suite, with space and light and comfy sofas to lounge on. Frieda and Benno were welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed and could wish for. We couldn't think of any way to improve on what they already do - truly delightful and would not hesitate to stay again.

We stayed at Absoluut Verhulst a year ago and returned this year, bringing family from New Zealand with us. Both times Frieda and Benno made us feel very welcome. We travel a lot but I can't think of anywhere else we have stayed that has been so relaxing - it feels like a proper holiday. The hardest thing about staying here is leaving the very comfortable rooms to explore beautiful Bruges. The 400 year old building has masses of character, while still having all the modern comforts. As the other reviews say - the breakfast is fantastic. This is the perfect place to stay for a personal touch, plenty of space, and ideal location for soaking up the atmosphere in Bruges.

My mother and I stayed at Absolutt Verhulst for one night. We wished we could have stayed longer. The room we stayed in was beautiful as is their whole house. Frieda and Benno are so very nice and welcoming; they made us feel right at home. The street is very quiet and about 10 minutes walking distance to the center of Bruges or you can take the number 6 or 16 bus to get to the Markt (where there are tours, etc.) Breakfast is delicious, wow!

My wife and I stayed here in late November and it was wonderful. A short 5 minute walk to the market square where you can find all the restaurants, bars, shopping, you will need. Frieda and Benno are great, very helpful and they have made a very special place. We had the top room which is more like a duplex with two levels, perfect for a small family. As everyone says, breakfast is included and it is great. There is a coin laundry 5 minutes away if needed. The De Halve Maan Brewery tour is a must.
