We were booked into here by another hotel. We wouldn't normally pick this sort of place to tell the truth, but actually, we had no problems, the owners were very friendly and helpful and all in all excellent value for money considering the hotel next door charges many, many, many times the price! Great location.

I went to Bruges with my Mother. I wanted to save a bit of money on the hotel which we could spend on eating out - Bruges is expensive - so before we arrived I was a little concerned about what the hotel would be like. - It was absolutely fine, not luxurious but comfortable. We stayed five nights and paid 60 Euros a night for a double room. (Amazing value). This was two single beds which were together. The beds were some of the best I have slept on (I like firm beds...). Very clean too as was the whole room. Room was ensuite with a smallish bathroom opening into the room with a sliding door. Good hot shower. Big window in room. Towels nice and fresh and clean. Everything was simple but as it should be. Seemed freshly painted too. Breakfast was included and was good quality for the money. Orange juice was good and so was the coffee. Was offered more coffee. Owners (family - run) were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They were very polite but beyond this seemed to genuinely enjoy what they did and liked talking to the guests. The hotel has a fantastic position and we thoroughly enjoyed Bruges.

Just off the main market square you will find the Hotel Nicolas. A small family run hotel, which offers comfort, excellent location and fantastic value.
Its quirky decor and the wonderful couple who own this hotel make it truly a wonderful place to stay. They go beyond the call of duty to make your stay the best possible. We bought a bottle of wine in a super market for the room and 2 wine glasses appeared once room was cleaned. A beautiful gift was given at check in ... a wonderful surprise !!!
The owners are so helpful and friendly, you wont want to go anywhere else to stay in Brugge again.
Breakfast is continental, rolls, bread, cheese and meats, cereal, juice and hot drinks.
All fresh and lovely. Rooms are a good size, bathrooms are carpeted which is odd at first, but is quickly forgotten.
This feels like a home from home. Cant wait to go back !! ( we've been to this hotel twice already).
You will not find a better location at any price and the Hotel Nicolas is very good value for money.

We stayed 3 nights in September. This is a very plain hotel but very comfortable and the location couldn't be better - one block from Markt Square. The staff were very accommodating, the room was very clean. The bed was 2 twins pushed together and didn't look promising but it turned out to be very comfortable! There was plenty of space for all of our luggage.
We paid $100 U.S.per night, which included breakfast - meat, cheese, breads, cereal, oj, coffee, tea. No A/C but the windows open for fresh air. There is an elevator - tiny but it serves the purpose!
We loved Brugge and if we go back we would definitely stay here again.
