The Number 11 B&B is located in the historic center of Bruges. It’s about a 2 minute walk to the beautiful Burg-square and a 3 minute walk to the central market-square. Although located close to the city-center, Number 11 is very quiet. No noises from the city or cars or whatsoever.

The guesthouse itself is wonderfully decorated, a bit contemporary and very classy. It has a small garden on the back, a large but cosy living room with a wood stove and well-equipped kitchen. The guesthouse has a large suite on the ground-floor, one room (vanilla) on the 1st floor and 2 rooms (chocolade & gray/white) on the 2nd floor.

Rooms are serviced daily and seemed to be very clean. The rooms have excellent beds, multiple pillows and are well equipped with quality bed- and bathroom linen (but do note that the kingsize beds are actually two single beds put together). Tea, coffee and potato chips are freely available in the kitchen. There is also a mini-bar with alcoholic beverages in the living room which has to be paid for (regular pricing).

Breakfast is wonderful, with freshly-baked bread and almost everything one could wish for early in the morning. Also the staff is very attentive, thoughtful and willing to help where and if possible. Since this is a B&B however, the staff isn’t available 24 hours/day but only during the daytime.

All in all, I would absolutely recomment this place for a romantic getaway.

Some other things to take into consideration when opting for this B&B:

- Only the suite is on the ground-floor and in order to get to the other rooms, you have to take long and steep stairs. If you are somehow physically challenged, go for the suite or choose another place;

- The guesthouse is a bit thin-walled, as it is with all old houses and other B&B’s in the centre of Bruges. If you don’t like hearing other guests walking up the stairs, rather choose a hotel;

- Parking space is about a 5 minute walk from the guesthouse. Since it’s all cobblestone, rather not take a trolley with small wheels.

We Married 22 december 2011 in bruges.
We arranged with the owner, that we could do our photoshoot in the privaterooms of the B&B and our suite.
We had a warm welcome and good stay.
The photo's are beautifull!
Thanks to the owners and Billy's photography (dannautbilly@gmail.com)

The Deluxe suite was perfect!
it was private, our own (door) private entrance, livingarea with a lovely fireplace, bathroom with bad and shower, a view on the little garden and our own little patio.
We also get a little bottle of Champagne from the owners. And it was a good one ! :)

For the conclusion do our stay in Europe this summer we had something special in mind. We were not disappointed to choose "Number 11" for our 5 night stay. It was not only the charming architecture, the tasteful design, the romantic little garden, the comfortable beds and the overall peaceful ambiance and loving care, which showed in the details, which pleased us so much. Hilde welcomed us with genuine warmth and assisted us with useful information, hints and suggestions concerning restaurants, wlks and outings to the seashore. She was an efficient help when fell victims to pickpockets ,so we could enjoy our days in Bruges and only kept positiv souvenirs.
We stayed for one night in the deluxe suite, which was dream and is probably especially perfect for longer stays during the colder seasons, when you have time to snuggle up with a book. We had breakfast in the garden under the pergola.
But we equally loved the grey room with its views over the rooms of Brugge through the bathroom window.
We gladly would return.

We spent three nights in early January at this lovely house. Our stay was delightful: the owner, her husband and her two colleagues were charming, kind and thoughtful (and recommended a wonderful restaurant, le Couvert). We stayed in the Vanilla room, which was quiet, comfortable and exceptionally pretty. Breakfasts were leisurely and delicious; in the garden outside resident blackbirds were singing. We felt altogether looked-after throughout our stay and have come home rested and happy. One small warning: you need good knees to cope with the stairs, which are precipitous; but it's all well worth the climb.... We greatly look forward to returning.

My wife chose No 11 from web pictures and we expected something good. We were even more impressed when, greeted by the most welcoming staff, we were shown into the vanilla room. The house and rooms are dripping with old world character and charm and made you feel immediately comfortable and at ease. Hilde, who received us, clearly loves her home town, was most helpful and directed us to the best places. (In Bruges everywhere is best!) After an afternoon walk when we saw the Christmas procession we returned to a log fire blazing and realised this was our best hotel find ever! Breakfast at the long table was totally enjoyable (both food and company) and our short stay of 2 nights was far too short. When we return to Bruges again, number 11 will be our only choice. Thank you for making our visit so memorable.
