“Decent average hotel”

Our room was extremely small. No room anywhere for 2 people to pass each other.
Bathroom was behind a sliding door.
Our room was on the 1st floor, but was very quiet.
Breakfast left alot to be desired.

Pros:
location
cleanliness
cafe red rose bar downstairs

Overall, prices are high in Belgium, so this is a good mid-range option, but would not stay there again.

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review.
It's very interesting to read your remarks on our breakfast.
Normally this is always very positive. It would have been nice what more you desired on our buffet.
All our rooms have sliding bathroom doors. This is somthing we can keep in mind for the next renovations!
Kind regards
Nathalie, Reception

“new year's eve”

The hotel is very near the main square and close to get to all attractions. It is also only 20-30 minutes to the train station from there.
The hotel itself is good in it's communal area and breakfast usual european fare. However rooms are quite basic and as such you can hear everything from rooms around you. Especially when the other guests are very noisy with not only their talking but movements stomping up the stairs/banging doors.
The room itself is basic although nice and warm. The bathroom feels closed in as it has no window. There is also no hairdryer in the room or safe which could be a good addition. The room could also do with a new coat of paint. The view of the belfry is nice especially when lit up.The staff were all very welcoming and friendly and leave you too it really. You get what you pay for and for where it is sited , for a short break this hotel is fine, but for longer you would need more comfort.

Hello,
Thank you for the review and the compliments about the staff, breaffast and communal area.
We closed the hotel from 7/01 untill 3/02/2012 for renovations.
Rooms got a new coat of paint and new decorations.
Hairdryers and safe are available at the reception.
I do understand that noisy guests who are talking and stomping up the stairs/doors are not so fine. We would like to appologize for that.
Kind regards
Nathalie, Reception

“Great budget accomodation.”

We chose this hotel due to it's excellent location, a 2 min walk from the main square, it's price (£75 per room is such a bargain in Bruges) and the fact that it has a fab Belgian beer bar as part of the building. Staff were really friendly, and getting straight up to our room (37 with a view of the clock tower) was no problem. The room was clean and simple, we were more than pleased.
We had an excellent meal at Au petit grand, literally round the corner and there's one of the best best beer bars in town opposite; Bierbrasserie Cambrinus where I drank a bottle of Westverleten 12 for €10. We loved Bruges and this hotel made a great and reasonably priced base.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a view of the clock tower.

“Perfect hotel! Can't wait to stay again!”

Myself, my partner and 2 friends booked a family room at hotel Cordoeanier through Booking.com for NYE. I could not be happier with the whole trip, booking.com is great as you do not have to pay untill you arrive with no cancelation fees! The hotel itself was extremly helpful, as we were driving I emailed to ask parking, they sent a full email with detailed parking instructions, cost and directions. When we arrived we parked right next to the hotel at a pay and display, unloaded the car and then drove less thank half a mile to the multistory carpark. Such a short walk to the hotel and only €8.70 a day! It is much cheaper at the station which includes a bus transfer, however as it was NYE I was unsure the buses would run so we parked here. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean with fresh towels everyday. My only tiny criticism of the room was the bathroom door, it was a slide door with quite a large gap, which wouldn't have been a problem had it just been myself and my partner, however, being with friends it could have been slightly uncomfortable when needing the loo! The bathroom was small, but was all we needed. the breakfast was great, nice and fresh and surrounded by lovely decor.

The Red Rose Cafe attached to the hotel is really lovely, and serves very tasty beer!

This hotel was a real bargain and in a perfect location. I would highly reccomend it and hope to visit again soon.
