“Location, Location...”

I booked the Tuilerieen as a special treat for my girlfriend's 30th birthday and we both loved the place from the minute we arrived. The place is extremely tastefully decorated and just has a real feel of 'class' about it. It's also quite a small hotel, so it all feels nice and intimate and personal.

We were a little early for check in so the very helpful guy on the main desk took some time to hand draw us a little map showing some great, nearby bars and places to eat. When we returned the room was ready - and what a room!

The hotel is situated slap bang in the centre of Brugge, right on the canal and our room had windows opening right out onto this spectacular view. The room itself was very large, with two king size beds and extremely tastefully appointed and furnished. In actual fact, it felt like an apartment and we would have happily stayed for many more than the three nights that we'd booked!

Apparently this is the hotel used by the cast an crew of the film 'In Brugge' whilst on location filming in the city - which made it extra special for us as we are both huge fans of the movie! We spent a fantastic few days wandering around, being a bit geeky and trying to track down all of the famous locations from the film. Yes, we visited the alcoves in the koninging Astrid park - and even touched Jesus's blood! And no, of course you don't bloody have to!!! :)

All in all the Tuilerieen delivered in every way possible. A fantastic, stylish, top class hotel in a location to die for. What more could you possibly ask for?

Ok... i guess if anything, the spa could be a little bigger and better equipped.... but now i'm nit picking!

Room Tip: Just splash out and get one of the canal view rooms - you won't regret it!

“Simply Charming and Beautiful Location”

This 15 century hotel is simply charming, The traditional feel is mixed with contemporary to make it quite unique and very stylish. Our room was very spacious. It was lovely to have one of the bathrooms advertised!

Staff are polite, approachable and friendly, offering helpful information about Bruges. We overlooked the canal and what we thought was the click clock of time in the morning was the clip clop of the horse and carriage outside our window. Wonderful.

Shop around for deals we went on Cesta and saved £100's. Busy breakfast's between 9.3am at 11.00am so pace yourself. This must not be rushed.

Bruges is romantic and simply beautiful ( we went between Christmas and New Year) so the ambiance and Christmas lights were stunning with Ice skating. Some restaurants in the Market Square offer value for money on set menus and beautiful surroundings. The locals are wonderful and its lovely to hear some French spoken by the Belgians so different!! It has more of a Dutch feel but again unique. Fantastic Brewery Brugse Zot to discover Belgium Beer. They are so proud and the lowest volume 6% tastes great! The whole place is classy and one of the best 3 days we've ever spent in Europe.

Room Tip: Canal side.

“Great location”

We did not book ahead but we searched through Trip Advisor and wrote down the names of the few we picked. Bruges is out of the season now so most of the small ones are closed.
This hotel is very nice, expencive for some reasons. The heating is not working well. The room was not warm enough. Also, hair dryer was the oldest style to save on the electricity and my long hair dried in 1 hr. Don't waist your time with buying an extra breakfast for 25€ pp there are lots of places around the market place giving breakfast for 7-8€ pp. Location is perfect and it has a nice bar though. Staff is also nice and welcoming.

“Fantastic Hotel”

I loved staying here. The chocolate fountain is unbelievable and the swimming pool, sauna and steam room is great after a long day sightseeing. It takes about 20-30 mins to walk to from the station with luggage but is really central for other sights. It is on a really quiet street as well.

“Comfortable hotel, felt at home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

This is a comfortable and friendly hotel with a small swimming pool and sauna. We got a very cheap deal and in cosequence put in a small room = much smaller than other rooms - but was still a nice room. We were there for Cristmas and breakfast included champagne and a chocolate fountain. Two small things: the wi fi in our room kept on cutting out - better in the bar apparently but still annoying, and be warned - the hotel restaurant apparently isnt run by the hotel and you hve topay d=separately. Dont make the mistake, as I did of leavign expecting them to put it on the bill!
