We had rather a nice experience with this B&b, we took the train to Bruges, and we were picked up for free at the railway station. After a 5 minute drive, we got introduced to Martine, a very friendly girl who showed us the rooms. They were all clean and the beds were super! When we got ourselves cleaned up and ready, we got another free ride into the city center. So we visited the whole day and evening untill 23 o'clock, then we only had to phone Martine, and we got another ride (yes free again!!!) back to the hostel. We can't complain, the only thing we didn't like was going back home. We don't know what the australian lady in the other review is trying to do but we liked it and the hosts were very helpfull and friendly...This was for us ' a fine quality ' experience, not 5 star hotel but then the price is right at the Arabesque!!! ;)Don't get scared by the Australians...

“Pass the Nice Smelly Lavendar, Please”

Don't get me wrong. Arabesque isn't the worst B&B in the world, but it sure isn't "fine quality" either. Alarming quantities of animal hair in the bedding (gratuities of a big dog and 3 cats) makes not a happy guest, and the cigarette smoke invading our room day & night (gratuities of Grandad living downstairs) - not to mention the cats in our room - made me curious as to why "no smoking" & "no pets" was an Arabesque policy. "Full buffet breakfast" consisted of the host and her boyfriend handing guests a bread roll out of a supermarket bag and then sprawling all over the grotty couches to watch cartoons.

There's embellishment, and then there's just plain fibbing. Thumbs down, Arabesque.
