Bruges is a lovely place, so festive! I had a wonderful weekend there!

Lovely hotel, very close to the centre, in a tipical and romantic Brugge house. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The owner is a very kind lady (she speaks spanish which help us) and gives you a personalized service. She gaves us a discount card that can be used in certain places. The hotel made our stay in Brugges more pleasant. Highly recommended.

This hotel is fairly aged, but has a lot of character and charm. We loved the creaking spiral staircase and the warm and cosy breakfast room. The owner Mirelle was really warm and friendly, and made us feel welcome straight away. The room was reasonably clean, although we did find a few hair on the sheets and blankets. The bathroom was newly renovated and very clean, and breakfast was fantastic as well. It was overall a nice charming hotel with great value, but could improve on attention to the cleaniness of bedding etc.

The actual date of travel was in december 2004. (not able enter correct year in drop down menu).
We had booked the hotel online, and arrived in the evening. My wife woke up just half an hour after she fell asleep and said she felt something on her body. We switched on the light and saw several fleas in the bed and we got out of the bed immediately. We tried to contact the front desk but was unmanned, so we spent the whole night walking around town and identified another hotel to stay at. Once the front desk was manned we complained and told them we are leaving and we are not paying a single penny. They said it could not be possible. We showed them the evidence in terms of fleas caught and photographed.
We took our bags and walked over to the other hotel and managed to get some hours of sleep before we started enjoying the beautiful town of Bruges.
