Recently refurbished, and only a short walk to Markt and T'zand. Has a good bar with friendly locals and staff. We booked in upon arrival when our other accomodation was frankly dangerous.

This hotel gave us a roomy 4 ded room for the first night, found us another hotel for the second, then for the rest of the week gave us a 3 bed room. Just for the two of us. Rates are very good and they will negotiate if you plan to stay for a few days.

We stayed for 4 nights in March and recommend Hotel Groeninghe. Laurence, the hostess, was very friendly and helpful, recommending places to eat where we enjoyed good food and atmosphere. We thought that this was a reasonably priced small hotel, well situated in Bruges, where we were made to feel very welcome. If you do not need facilities like swimming pools or exercise rooms but would like a clean, comfortable room with a good continental style breakfast and access to a comfortable lounge then consider this a good option.

We stayed at Groeninghe following a recommendation from a friend who has stayed there on many occasions. The location is excellent, in the city, and a stone's throw from the shopping street and main sqaure. Johan and Lawrence (the hosts) were more than helpful and gave us a warm welcome! Rooms are bright, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was yummy with good coffee! If you're looking for a cosy get away, that's in the city (and quiet) go to Groeninghe, as you'll find it very hard to beat. Great value for money!
