We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Arrived a lot later than expected due to travel delays so probably weren't in the best of moods but found the reception staff very friendly and helpful. Gave us a city map and pointed out places of interest and nearby restaurants. Unfortunately, there was some sort of mix up between laterooms.com that we booked the room through and the hotel itself, as we had booked the junior suite and instead were given a superior plus. This was a nice room with a good sized bed but just not quite as special as what we had anticipated. Beware of what kind of room you book as every brochure/ site/ member of staff call all the rooms something different. We had booked the junior suite but the confirmation came through as luxury double and that's why they gave us superior plus. Also, note that these rooms are very dark (similar to a Malmaison hotel). The bed was very comfy but the rooms during the night were extremely hot even after turning the heating down/ off.
Hotel is in a good location with just a 10 minute walk to the main square with a few bars and restaurants on the way. Breakfast is really good and lots of choice for everyone.
Bar is really nice and the bartender was also very friendly. Happy hour from 4-6pm is a very welcome touch after walking around for hours.
Swimming pool is extremely small but in a city centre hotel you're lucky to have a pool at all.
Bruges is a beautiful city and very picturesque, especially in the snow as it was when we visited. The only thing I would say is to maybe visit a little later in the year as a lot of the attractions were closed and obviously no boat trips were running. Would love to visit again in the Summer.

Hotel, room and breakfast were all lovely. The only big downer was the loud music from the bar till the early hours. I didn't bring earplugs thinking we wouldn't need them in medieval Bruges. When i mentioned this the next morning the girl at front desk pretended she wasn't aware of this. I cannot imagine being the first one being bothered by this? A pity because all the rest was very nice. But to me the most important thing you do in a hotel is... sleeping!

Loved the hotel, very friendly staff on arrival and throughout stay.
The breakfast is excellent, everything you could possibly want and will fill you up till dinner time.

Happy hour in the bar was great as well - 4euro for a glass of wine and pint of jupiler beer!

Room we had was pretty small but didn't bother us too much as we were out and about in beautiful Brugge a lot.

Location of hotel is perfect as well, great stay.

The Flanders hotel is a lovely little hotel very close to the centre of Bruges. We had a family room with a double bed, twin beds and a sled bed that doubled as a couch. The room was fairly large and comfortable. The bathroom functional but a bit tired. The breakfast was great with a lot of choice for adults and kids. Coffee was terrible! The staff all helpful and friendly.
The hotel is about 10 mins walk to the centre of Bruge and definitely suitable for families. Not 5 start but affordable, comfortable and clean.
