“Beyond our expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2010

2 things- B&B Coupure and Bruges are way beyond our expectations. The town is quite beautiful...dare I say it, almost a fairy tale place! Coupure could not be in a better location, so handy to the sights but so peaceful right next to it's own canal, lock and local bars. Brilliant if you have a car because they have their own free car park close by and its easy to drop your bags right at the front door. The main top bedroom is one of the best we have stayed in during our 3 month tip to Europe and I'm writing this from that room as the evening sun streams in through the roof windows. all in all pretty perfect.
Don't even think about staying in a hotel when with your very own front door it feels like you own the place.

“Really quiet but right in the heart of everything”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2010

Absolutely loved our stay in Bruges and this was the best bed and breakfast we have stayed in.

The hosts were very welcoming and hospitable, the room was lovely, really big with a great en suite. The breakfast was great, I even had Belgian chocolate one day.

The hotel is situated on a canal and has great views of both the belfry and the canals, the walk into Bruges is about 10 minutes but then you are right in the heart of things. What is amazing is the peacefulness of it all.

The property has a secure garage about 4 minutes walk away which is great because you can only park for four hours outside the property. We parked up to unload the bags and then moved it later.

I have never felt safer in a city than I did in Bruges and the city is a must-visit for everyone.

“Amazing place!”

We stayed 2 nights and didn't want to leave. The B&B's owner, Ilse, is so kind and hospitable and the place itself is so nice that we filled at home. We travell a lot, usually staying in hotel and B&Bs, and this is one of the best places we stayed ever.
Practically, Coupure is located about 5 minutes walk from the city center, however the place is very quite and pastoral. There are closed car parking in the neiborhood (about 5 minutes walk), and it is included in the price. The room and the bathroom were very cheerful and spacious, clean and comfortable of couse. The only inconvenience is that it is on the senond floor, and there was no elevator and the stairs were very high and narrow. Breakfast was plentiful, warm and tasty.
In additiion Ilse provided us with city map and travel guide and gave very useful advices about the city.
IN conclusion, it's really great place, definitely worth its price. We hope we will be able to visit Brugge in the future and will stay in Coupure again.

“A charming, clean, welcoming and well located B&B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2009

We were made most welcome and shown our very clean room.

Great hosts pleased to help us with everything.

It overlooked a very quiet part of the canal network and is just enough out of the centre to avoid the continuous flow of tourists.

Breakfast was substantial to say the least!

The stairs to the rooms are not really suitable if you have any mobility challenges - a very tight, steep and small spiral staircase.

A significant plus was access to a nearby garage so that we could forget about parking and driving and enjoy Bruges by foot.

We dined at the nearby New Museum restaurant - about 300m away - and that too was excellent
