Our room was perfect, comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast provided was magnificent and the hosts were wonderful, very helpful in every way for a first-time visitor to Bruges.

Our family of 3 stayed in a guest room with a single and a queen size beds. After a long day of touring, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom (shower only ) was modern & clean.The room was simply decorated which was fine with us. Even though it was August, the weather was delightfully cool. I mention this as our room did not have a fan or air-conditioning. For those guests with cardiac or orthopedic problems, this b&b is not for you- VERY steep narrow 2 flights of stairs - reason we gave 3 stars to room quality. The cold breakfast, served in the tastefully decorated dining room was plentiful and delicious( yogarts, meats, cereals). We all loved the fresh bread and pastries served each morning! One morning, we were leaving very early and could not be present for breakfast. Our hosts were very gracious and packed us a delicious and hearty cold breakfast for the road. As written by other guests, we were only a short walking distance to the city center and only several blocks away from a parking garage where we left our car during our stay in Brugge. We had a lovely stay at the Dieltiens B&B.

The proprietors of the B&B also have a flat to rent just a block away from their B&B. I did not see it listed separately on TripAdvisor, so I put my review here. I stayed in the downstairs flat, which is studio style with the sofa doubling as a very comfortable bed. It is furnished with a kitchen, bathroom, closet and sitting area, really everything you need for a longer stay in Bruges (although I was only there 2 nights).

Location is great, very near one of the canals and the Vismarkt (Fish Market). It is close (5 minute walk) to the central Markt and Burg squares, but far enough to be completely silent at night.

I missed out on meeting Koen and Annemie and the other guests at the B&B, but if you want to feel like a temporary Bruggan, its great to stay in a flat like this.

Koen and Annemie are musicians who operate a superb B&B; they are pure delight, very helpful. Annemie has retired from piano teaching; she is the President of the Bruges B&B association. Koen performs professionally on the recorder and is the organist at a lovely church a few blocks from the B&B. Their location is a few blocks from Market Square, far enough away to allow quiet nights for sleeping. Breakfasts are quite good and are served around a large table which is conducive to conversations among the guests.
