“Hotel gives no trust to its guests”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

I had a very bad experience with the hotel. Guests who plan to arrive after 14 o'clock are asked to make a FULL payment 30 days IN ADVANCE by money transfer. Credit card is not possible, deposit is not possible but a full payment in advance. The hotel does not trusted the guests and fear that should they plan to arrive after 14 o'clock they could not show up at all. What a ridiculous argument?! As if the guests will show up if they tell the hotel they will arrive before 14H? Not to mention that most hotels require a check-in after 14 o'clock. So be careful. the hotel gives no trust its guests, thus the hotel is not recommended.

“Great budget stay”

Easy to find walking from train station. I really like that it is a family run bed and breakfast type establishment. You have to confirm you are coming that day between 8-10 am via text, call, or email. We arrived midday and our room was ready, so we paid cash and put our luggage down. Our room had a small double bed and single bed, with a sink and armoire. The bathroom is down the hall with a separate room for toilet and shower. This is not the most fun, but fine for just a couple nights. And it is so close to the train station and also to the city center (about 15 minutes on foot through a lovely area). We could see the church tower and the train station from our window when you leaned out a bit. Free internet wifi, and breakfast included. Breakfast is lots of types of bread with lots of types of spreads. DELICIOUS. Yes I like my “American” breakfasts but all the options was great here. Nice people, very casual and family oriented. Comfortable bed with lots of blankets! The bathroom was freeeeezing at night, but it is winter after all. Definitely recommend this hotel!

“Happily Surprised”

We don't usually stay at a "shared bathroom" type hotel but this was the only hotel we could afford on our budget. We were a little nervous about it all but so happy once we got to our room. The hotel is literally a 5 minute walk from the train station and with our heavy backpacks that was a godsend. The shared bathroom was clean and shower room the same. We never saw anyone else around although we knew all the rooms on our floor were booked up. The owners are great, very hard working, happy to help and very kind. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: The rooms in the front face the street which quiets down around 10-11. The back rooms deal with nei...

“Great price, location, very comfy and great hosts!!!”

As what most other reviewers have mentioned, the hotel is very near the train station and an easy walk to Bruges town centre. The rooms are very clean and very homely! Hosts Stefan and Hilde are also very friendly and helpful - my family decided to join me at the last minute and I had only booked for a double room. They went to the trouble to check if they could help me change room and when that didn't work out (cos all the other travellers have confirmed their trips), they put in extra mattresses at a very small additional cost. Definitely value-for-money place!!! We enjoyed the breakfast thoroughly, especialy the hot toasted croissants!! It was not a big feast but the tasty choices of jams and spreads more than made up for it! I love the red plants outside our window sills - lovely!
Bathrooms are shared but they are always kept clean. The shower room can be a little too small though.
Will definitely stay here again if I return to Bruges!

“Great price and location!”

The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk from the train station and very easy to find. It was only 44 euro a night for a twin room with a bathroom down the hall. That's cheaper than most hostels! The rooms and furniture were a bit older but very clean. There is a sink in each room which was convenient. The bathroom was just fine...the toilet and the shower are in separate rooms. Shower was a bit small but definitely manageable. It's right around the corner from Minnewater and the Beguinage. Walking to the Markt Square took about 10 to 15 minutes. I would definitely stay here again!
