“Did the job..”

Staff were very helpful and the bathroom was quite large.
Style very old fashioned, bed extremely low, no duvet only an itchy blanket. Walls very thin could hear everything (I mean everything) going on in other rooms. Room very dark and the only window looked over a tiny courtyard into other rooms. Also good walk from the main town further than expected. Overpriced.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the front of the hotel.. If your sent to the back of the hotel it's a bad s...

“Excellent hotel at a great price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011 via mobile

We stayed at the hotel Europ for 4 nights. These nights were in the week so it was mostly quiet. We arrived at the hotel and were greeted warmly and shown to the room. We had booked a STANDARD room with no view (we were on a budget! And the hotel does offer DELUXE rooms for an extra charge) but the room was large with a double bed and ensuite bathroom.

The room, bathroom and the hotel were all really clean. The rooms are in need of an update but everything worked so no complaints! The hotel is in an ideal location just off market square, we needed directions and all of the staff were multi-lingual and very helpful so we went on our way with their free map of the city!

The breakfast in the morning was continental but a great selection and all bread and items were fresh and served tea and coffee on request.

All in all if you are looking for a budget hotel which is clean and friendly the Europ is a great choice! On the Friday we left it was fully booked and that speaks for itself!

“2nd stay here & happy again”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

This is a small family run hotel just a few minutes walk from the Centrum. Located on a beautiful quiet canal, but close to everything. The hotel has a lift and is clean and cozy. My room was modern with TV, comfy bed, nice bathroom with marble shower. Hotel also has wifi for a fee. Great breakfast with rolls, jam, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, cheese, meats, etc.
Staff is friendly and all speak English well.

Room Tip: If you want a beautiful view, ask for canal facing, cost more but worth it

excelent position near centre of Bruges, 5 minutes walk to the main square, right on a canal. Pleasant reception, but the standard room was rank. Had to pay 68 Euros for an upgrade to a roomat the front. Superb! Two double beds, fantastic en-suite, what a differnce. Continental breakfast included, not much selection,., settled for coffee and breadrolls, with butter but no conserve. It wasOK for one night but wouldnt have liked to stay any longer

Room Tip: try another hotel unless you want to pay extra

“Well situated, pleasant hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

I found and booked this hotel at the last minute and there wasn't much available in Bruges.

I read the reviews here after booking, so I was a little apprehensive.

Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to find that some of the more scathing reviews were inaccurate.

The hotel is well situated in a quiet part of town. It is a nice location, overlooking the canal.

Staff were helpful and friendly.

The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good.

Having viewed the hotel's website, I took their advice of using a local car park. Unfortunately, we arrived on Saturday lunchtime and the car park was full and turning people away. We drove to the hotel and enquired about parking. The receptionist directed us to a car park about 100 metres away which only cost €10 for 24 hours, so was even cheaper than suggested on their 'site.
