The Leonardo is only suitable for visitors with a car. Due to a number of road works in the area the Leonardo was not easy to locate without ignoring a number of no through way barriers. However when we eventually managed o reach the hotel, we found it located in a wooded area with a number of walks nearby. The hotel itself is relatively modern and we found the staff, such as there were, to be very helpful and friendly. The hotel is comfortable and rooms are clean, bright and reasonably sized. I suspect that this hotel is far more popular in mid season, rather than in September, when we stayed there. During our stay occupancy seemed to be no more than 50%.
(The hotel has a number of conference rooms and appears to cater to the business trade for which it would seem eminently suitable.)
The Leonardo has a restaurant but being Sunday, we were unable to sample this. Breakfasts, however were typical of those found in Benelux hotels, concentrating on a variety of fresh breads and assorted cold cuts.
I would definitely consider staying here whenever I return to Brugge in future.
