This is what you're looking for when you go to Brugge. This house is beautiful, the room we stayed in is named Lune de Miel. Very clean, huge comfortable bed, wood everywhere, gives you the feeling to sleep in a medieval castle. The view from the stained glass windows is amazing too (beautiful garden and old houses and church). David, the owner and host, is very welcoming. He took the time to point out the fun tourist stuff to do in town, nice walks, etc. he knows Brugge very well. Don't look for a TV, or a top of the line shower (although the bathroom is quite modern and was bigger than some hotel rooms I booked in Paris... and the bathtub is huge too), what you get here is the quiet and warm "home" feeling that makes you ask yourself why you need a 70" 3D TV.
Breakfast: in one word, amazing. I'm not gonna describe everything, I don't want to spoil it for you.
David, the owner, is also a very talented artist, and you will see his art around the house and also in his home studio.
My girlfriend is from the U.S. and I'm from Quebec, we travel all the time and we stayed in hundreds of different hotels (sad but true). We both agree on this place.
