We stayed in this hotel via a 'hotelweek-deal' (EUR 55 for a double, incl. breakfast), so in that case this was value for money!
When you enter Leuven (route via Antwerp, Mechelen, Brussels Zaventem) you arrive almost immediately in this hotel. At first you think the centre is far, but it is only a 10 minute walk to the historical centre and the location of this hotel is lovely. Near the river Dijle and quiet. The 'groot begijnhof' is right around the corner. It is on the world heritage list, so you can imagine it is worth a visit. Via this begijnhof you can walk to the historical centre of Leuven.
The hotel itself is very nice. The welcome at the reception was hospitable. Rooms are nice, not very big, but enough space for the two of us and our luggage. Great beds and free Wifi availble. Bathroom a bit small, and if I have to mention one point of critisism it is the hair dryer in the bath room; the hair dryer gets really hot in your hands, but it blows a very soft and not too warm 'breeze'...
Breakfast is very good, nice buffet, with local specialities. And they refill it all the time.
The breakfastroom is located in an old renovated barn! Very nice.
Cost for parking a bit high, EUR 12 per night.
The bar is nice for a drink too, but it is rather quiet. And Leuven has plenty of choices there, so maybe it is better to go outside for that.
