Since my previous review I stayed multiple times and since ,service level seems to go down. Front desk staff is less personal and friendly, rooms require maintenance - especially bathrooms require extra cleaning.(smell).
Hotel is building a new wing , I hope its not going to be the final part of the worsening- in the meanwhile it causes a lot of noise due to the costruction...so no silent wake up.
Still one of the best places to stay in Leuven area- but not for long any more if they don't turn around their customer orientation and stop saving money ; upgrade of staff friendliness and customer assistance is badly neded- and start maintaining rooms and bathrooms.

I stayed two nights in this beautifully restored hotel very close to the historic centre of Leuven. It is no more than 20 minutes walk from the station with good bus service if needed.
The rooms are well appointed with plenty of room, though a little low on lighting. The hotel is undergoing building work for an underground car park which will make access easier for drivers, but did make it a little noisy in the mornings.
Breakfast was excellent both in quantity and quality.
My only complaint was the price of internet access; 15 euros for a 24 hour period seems rather excessive.

We stayed one night in a charming room: a bit more expensive but worth the money. Since we were travelling with a baby and a todler, this spacious room on the ground floor (#5) was very convenient (easy acces with strollers and babyphone could be received in lobby/hotelbar). Babybed with duvet was set up for free. Please print the route planner from the hotel website if you are travelling by car to the hotel: it brings you right were you need to be (we normally use tomtom, but given the other reviews we now used the paper version and it worked perfect). Breakfast was nice as well. Given its perfect setting in the heart of Leuven (5 min walk to the Grote Markt) it's an ideal hotel that I would recommend to everyone. The parkingspace from the hotel isn't big, so perhaps an early arriving is recommended if you would like to park the car there (for free).

We stayed three nights in this lovely hotel located in the city center. Restaurants in a large variety are close by. We had a (a bit more expensive) so called charming room, it was really charming. If you come by car parking seems somewhat complicated (due to the location), but with the assistance of the hotel staff this can easily be solved.
