I stayed at this hotel in Ghent for one night on a business trip. Good room, very clean. Nice help from the manager on where to eat nearby. Reasonable cost. Excellent parking on site. Very near a train station, but not noisy during the times I was there. Great breakfast buffet.

This is a great place to stay in Ghent. It's near the main station, where the trams stop on their way to the beautiful centre of Ghent, and has a large (free) car park. The staff are really friendly; the rooms are a decent size, as are the bathrooms; and the price is very reasonable. Best of all is the breakfast in the conservatory: you would never know you were in the middle of the city.

Can't fault this little place. Very handy for the station and not too far from central sights, lovely buffet breakfast with lost of choice, great staff.

Good, clean, quiet hotel. Rooms small but spotlessley clean, and free wireless internet access. Only 3 minutes walk from main train station (Gent St Pieter) with fast trains 3 times an hour to Brussels. Also at the station are the main bus/tram routes - the number 1 tram into centre of Gent takes just 10 minutes (but last tram back is 11 pm! Miss it and you have a 30 minute walk or a taxi). Buy an 8 Euro pass at the machine, giving you 10 tram rides. Even though the InterCity Hotel is close to the main rail station, it is very quiet - actually it is reached via the side/back of station, then across the road, not at the busy front of station. Inside the hotel is clean, and the 2 or 3 staff inconspicuous but very helpful. Serves breakfast (very basic buffet) for 10 Euros, on top of the room rate (I paid 65 Euro/night for room). Does not serve other meals, and although there is a bar I never saw it open - doesn't matter though as there are a few places near the station, and lots of excellent restaurants and bars in Gent centre - get off the tram at Korrnmarket.
