Really friendly and obliging staff, who could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Room spotless, quiet and well equipped. A really nice place to stay. Secure parking, which although payable is a bonus in the city which is an easy 15 minute walk away. Spent a really relaxing evening at the Celtic Tower bar - relaxing live music and delicious beef in beer! Don't miss the entrance to the hotel car park when you arrive! - it is a garage door a bit before the hotel in the same road. Fob required to access.

Since in some of the reviews that we read people complained about the noise at night in downtown hotels, we decided to go a bit far from downtown, but within a walking distance from it. We chose this hotel, and we found out that it has a cheaper parking than others and the parking can be reserved in advance unlike others. Also they allowed us to leave the car in the parking after we checked out.
The location was perfect, the rooms clean and large, they gave us twin beds instead of a double one, but we didn't mind. The room had a kitchenette (stove, dishes, plates, etc.) with a coffee machine, several coffee discs,as well as tea making items, but we didn't use the kitchen at all.
The temperature in the room was ok and there was not noise whatsoever. Towels were not too thin nor too small.
Breakfast was ok
One of the extra pillows, located inside a bag, was dirty, that is my only complain.

stayed 2 nights. We availed of early check in option when booking(no cost) for 12 o'clock . Normal check in time is 3pm. We arrived earlier just after 11a.m. and had no problem checking in. We used the hotel carpark which was very convenient. Receptionist was very helpful and provided us with a map an information and directions to historic centre.
The apartment itself was spotless as if we were the first occupants. Consisted of a large living room with dining table chairs and sofa and a well equiped kitchen including fridge micro/oven and espresso maker. The bedroom had large sliding door wardrobe and very comfortable beds. TV had numerous channels including BBC/ITV. It was quite warm for October but airconditioning worked well.
The breakfast was a buffet style with the usual cold meats cereals , scrambled eggs,bacon pastries etc. Only downside here was that breakfast finishes at 9 am on weekdays but 10am at weekends.
The Hotel is located about 15 mins walk from the historic centre. there is a bus route close by also.
Overall a very pleasant hotel newly refurbished and spotlessly clean. Very easily accessed from the motorway E-40 with convenient parking less appointed rooms and friendly helpful staff.

The most friendly staff ever experienced on a vacation– no request was to much effort. (Strange how everyone experiences a hotel differently looking at other reviews)

This jewel is situated about 10-15 minutes walking distance from the old historic centre of Gent. A pleasant walk along the river if you feel like it – or otherwise with the bus from the bus stop about 150 meters from the hotel. Bus tickets can be bought at the reception euro 9.00 for 10 bus trips (Price October 2011)

The hotel has a very secure off street parking. The rooms have been recently renovated and are very spacious. There is a fridge – a cooking unit a microwave and a coffee maker if you feel like cooking or heating food for yourself but do try the restaurant which serves good wholesome food – a tourist menu costs for 3 courses around Euro 11,00. Breakfast is also good and is included in the price.

I’d certainly go there again and recommend to everyone!
