I really enjoyed my stay in the Eden, it had everything I need and very few detractions.
I had a good wi-fi connection in my room, a TV, a (small) elevator to reach my floor and a nice breakfast spread. The staff were uniformly excellent; helpful, knowledgeable and multilingual and genuinely loved their city.
The neighborhood is great, on the edge of the more high-traffic of the old city, yet within an easy walk of it. I found three great restaurants and two nice bars within ten minutes of the hotel.
My room didn't have a shower stall, just tub with detachable spray faucet, which I found kind of a weird way to bathe. Nothing insurmountable, but I would have rather had a shower stall.
Overall, I highly recommend the Eden if you have come to see the sights of the very beautiful city of Ghent without blowing a lot of money on some of the more opulent accommodations .
The rates are very reasonable, it isn't hard to find when you come from out of town (a real plus with European hotels, in my experience), and it is comfortable enough to enjoy kicking back in when you arrive at the end of a day of eating, drinking and seeing the region.
