I stayed at this hotel last week for 4 days. When I arrved it was like a building site. The staff were not friendly and did not make me or my party of 8 feel welcome. When our stay came to an end we realised that we could not pay with a credit card, it must be the only hotel in the world that dosen't accept one. We had to go a look for an ATM which was miles away. The rate they advertise does not allow for the city tax which all other hotels in Gent do. There was also no lobby area where you could site and wait.

The hotel is not in the centre, far away if you go walking but just 5 minutes by car.
It's a typical budget hotel, nothing special in it, although at not cheap price (85 €). Rooms: don't expect any luxury although it was very spacious.
Breakfast is good and the staff very helpful

Okay for a short overnight stay was our requirement for a Friday night. The Europa Hotel fitted the bill. We stayed for dinner and enjoyed nice juicy steaks and a bottle of red but were a little disappointed by the lack of atmosphere as we were the only two diners that evening. I would suggest that they switched off the numerous downlighter spotlights during the evening and introduced some "mood" lighting. Sadly. the beds were of the hard foam on a chipboard base variety and we were glad to leave them for a good breakfast next morning.
