My husband booked this hotel, and when I read the reviews on here, I asked whether we could change our booking. But he said One Night Wouldn't Kill Us, so we went. And I do NOT understand what previous reviewers were talking about. It was lovely. Okay, it shares an entrance with the casino, but the bouncers looked at us and said "Were you wanting the hotel? That way!" and we went in and out with no fuss.
Reception couldn't have been friendlier, and you got a free drink in the casino bar if you wanted one (we didn't take that up, but could have), and an arrangement to have your meal put on your hotel bill.
Room was lovely and large, with a river view, and a little fridge with free bottled water in it. Bathroom big and a really lovely shower!
No air-conditioning and it was warm, but that didn't matter. The only thing I didn't like was the horrid blue lighting in the corridor, but you're only in the corridor 5 seconds. And a lot of steps and no lift so not suitable for those who have trouble walking.
We didn't stay for breakfast, as we thought €12 a bit excessive.
