I stayed in october 2007 int his hotel, avery quiet and nice place
along the river Meuse.I'm surprised about critics about this hotel because all wos ok for us.A good price for a good service
but I know that the owner and the manager has changed in january 2007 listening the receptionnist that's why service and place are better now .
An hotel you can choose and stay without problems!

“Little Regard”

A week of travelling, several excellent hotels and a final night let down by this hotel, which displayed complete indifference to the needs of its guests.

I have stayed in hotels of all standards on all Continents but I cannot recall one at which the staff were as poor as this - sullen, rude and arrogant - and that was only when they were around! It took us 15 mins to arrange for the garage door to be opened on arrival and 10 mins to get the room key after an evening out.

The adjoining Casino is clearly the priority at this hotel and the level of service has been sacrificed accordingly. Relatively cheap, with impressive river views, yes, but a satisfactory level of service from the staff should be a given not a gamble!!!!!

“Not recommended”

This hotel was a real disappointment. Although it's in a great location for scenery and exploration, I'd never go back. The room we had was huge, with nice views and a satisfactory bathroom. It was the middle of summer and very hot, and although there was no aircon, only one of our windows would open. The room was stifling all the time. The window also opened onto a flat roof which ran under several hotel room windows, so we felt a bit uncomfortable leaving ours open when we went out (we did see people walking around on the roof a couple of times). The worst part of the stay was the last morning; we woke up to find hundreds of ants marching from the windowsill across the room and onto the dressing table, on all our things there, despite us having kept the window shut. Nightmare experience.
The only good thing about this hotel was the food. The breakfast in the morning was the best we found anywhere else, so good for travellers on a budget, and the dinner we had in the attached restaurant was out of this world.

“Hated the place”

Hotel bland and faceless. Staff non-existent most of the time and when they did appear they were surly and unhelpful.

Stayed only a single night but experienced problems with the room and the staff attitude.

Would never go there again.

Only good points were the view over the river and it's location.

Breakfast was adequate but get there early as it is left out on a table with no cooler to protect it.

“Cheap but not cheerful!”

Beauregard accepted my booking in February 2006 but appeared reluctant to meet their comitment on our arrival. Rooms were poorly prepared and the attitude of the receptionist was appalling. We did not feel welcome. This is very much a take it or leave it Hotel with non-existent customer service. Its only redeeming feature is the price and its proximity to the centre of Namur - however, I would trade a longer walk and a higher price for a smile and some decent service any day!
