The setting of the hotel in the landscape is beautiful, as are the vast hotel grounds with old trees, bushes and meadows (and some garbage that could be cleaned). The sitting room and the reception area of the hotel are nice, with interesting wood carvings. That's the nice part.
Else, the hotel is more a 2-star than the 3-star that it is rated at:
- Reception: the receptionist clearly did not want to be there...the receptionist of the next day was a bit friendlier, but not that much...
- Hallways: very smelly, the ugly dark carpet has many big spots and was clearly not vacuumed
- Room: also smelly, carpet the same. When we got to the bathroom one of the towels was hanging half in the garbage bin and long strands of hair of a previous guest were on the floor.
- Restaurant: the food was not very good and not very good-looking
- Pool: walls around the pool were grimy, lounge-chairs dirty. There were no towels and when I asked for one at the reception I was told to use the same as in the room (being green is great, but to dry myself with the towel that was on a dirty lounge-chair is just gross)
Else, service, breakfast, terrasse area where average.
