For some reason the holiday inn in Hasselt is now charging a lot more for the rooms I have been enjoying there for a long time, so I looked for alternative places to stay.
This was my first stay at the Ibis hotel.
Very friendly staff, even when checking in very late.

The room was rather small, but the bed was excellent.
Everything was in working order but the furniture, the bathroom and the walls are starting to look a bit tired and need to be refeshed or replaced.

Noise level from the street was ok, didn't loose any sleep about it ;-)

I didn't take the breakfast as there are plenty of good places within five minutes walk where you can get an exhaustive one.

The ibis is probably the least expensive option to stay in Hasselt and it delivers what it promises, so I'll probably stay again when looking for a room to sleep.

My desappointment is du to the isolation of the hotel. Very old winwows, noice from the water pippes .... but the welcome was very good and internet was speed ... Breakfast was ok but too expensive. A lot of restaurant close to the hotel so choice is easy. Bye

Stayed at the hotel early in November 2011. Reception area fine with small bar and breakfast room off to side. This is as good as it gets. On exiting the lift it was obvious that the place had not been kept clean or decorated for a long time. Stains all over carpet and walls.
Bedrooms are very small and stink of mildew. Bathroom again very small.
Breakfast buffet looked OK but priced at 13 euros, not worth that.
There must be better places in the town
