The room was clean, however, the old red bedspread looked, felt and smelt as if had not been washed in a very long time. The gardens and terrace area are lovely and you cannot sit for more than a minute before the very obliging young owner is offering you a refreshment. Breakfast was wonderful and generous, which is just as well because we were starving by the morning. The wifi does not work in the rooms but works in the lounge.

The hotel is very isolated and eating dinner there seemed to be the only option. After reading previous reviews on booking.com we were looking forward to dinner. We were the only people there and we were given a huge menu with choices of fish, veal, beef, chicken, deserts and cheeses. My chicken smelt bad and his veal was extremely dry, presumably because it had been frozen and then defrosted and reheated in a microwave. The meal was inedible and as seasoned travellers, we can eat just about anything! We suggest the owner limit the menu to a small choice of fresh, home-cooked fare. The dinner, with a glass of wine each, was 85 euro, quite a bit for food that went back to the kitchen untouched. We will never return to this hotel.
