Stayed overnight on business in this hotel, which is situated at the end of a 2-3km country road,. So it;s not suitable to go wondering around Mons from on foot, but it's easy to get a taxi into Mons itself about €17 each way.

Hotel is on a slight hill and surrounded by forest so location is pleasant. Parking is ample. Room is quite large and bathroom is very large for typical hotel - twice the size of the Ibis one in Augsburg.

Breakfast was fine but the croissants were the small ones rather than the larger crescent shaped ones you get in France.

Went to a restaurant in Rue Des Bouchiers (which has same name) and this was pretty good.

This Mercure is clean and modern and in the middle of a beautiful forest, which suited us just fine. Room spacious and adequate; no wardrobe as such, just shelving, but that makes it easy to make sure you've left nothing behind!

Pleasant, quiet and relaxing stay. No use at all for noisey night-clubbers [thank goodness].

Agreeable staff, clean comfortable bar - unfortunately NO resturant on a Sunday [when we stayed, anyway] just bar snacks. Breakfast buffet excellent.

Would stay there again anytime.

PS What is it with cracked and chipped crockery in Belgium??

Stayed for 2 nights............comfortable stay. Its surrounded by trees so you have to have a car to travel. Breakfast is OK...........
