The Mercure Mons was our home while we transitioned in a move to Belgium. The rooms were very large and the beds are extremely comfortable. We had connecting rooms to our teens and we had our pets with us. The staff was always helpful. There is plenty of free parking and the little hotel bar is cozy and a fun way to end the day. Breakfasts are large but not always included in the price of the hotel room. We only had dinner here one evening because the menu didn't accomodate our picky teenagers tastes. Our dinner was expensive for not great food. There isn't anything to do within walking distance but the city center in Mons is not far.

Best hotel by far. Don't waste your money at anywhere else. Most comfortable rooms and excellant staff. We have traveled to Europe twice now and stayed several places. You can not go wrong with a Mercure! Free wifi is a super plus! I love this hotel location! It is surrounded by lush forest , no traffic noises , just a very relaxing experience!

Large clean room, quiet location, professional service. This was an ideal over night stop for us. Would recommend.

This hotel had a promising location in the middle of the woods outside Mons, which hinted at peace and quiet. Unfortunately, we were kept awake by plumbing in neighbouring rooms and could hear the people upstairs.. well, you can guess! The staff were playing football outside the window. They did stop when we asked but a shyer guest might have been kept awake.
The hotel was bland but the common parts and room were clean. The bathroom carpet was mouldy and there were hairs in the bath.
If you stay here, be aware that it's outside Mons, so eat before you arrive or be prepared to drive back into town unless you want to eat at the hotel. The hotel food was good, but expensive.
The staff weren't very enthusiastic or friendly but were polite and efficient.
Overall it was lot to pay for below average accomodation and disturbed sleep. I wouldn't go back.
