This hotel is located in a residential type neighborhood that gets a little questionable if you go a few blocks in almost any direction. However the rooms are very nice and spacious and clean with wood floors and clean Ikea furnishings. When you arrive, you stand outside a large apartment building that does not look anything like a hotel. You have to buzz in and hope that there is someone at the reception desk to let you in. Once inside, you are led to a small dining room that opens out to a nice patio/garden in the back of the building. There is also a full kitchen if you wanted to bring your own food, and snacks are available all thru the day. There are no keys issued, instead they provide you with a code that you key into to access the building and your room. I had to key through 5 different doors to get to my room! Parking is in the building, but VERY tight, do NOT bring a large car or you will have problems. (Access in/out of the parking area also required the same passcode.) The room itself if very spacious w a large kingsized bed which was also very comfortable. Unfortunately there were only 2 very flimsy, very small pillows which do not fit the king sized bed at all. No extra pillows stashed in the large spacious closet. Strangely enough, there was also no safe to store our valuables, and no luggage rack either. The bathroom was HUGE, with a double sink, shower and a separate full bathtub/shower. The towels were nice and fluffy and the water pressure was excellent. The hotel provided "free" telephone use (up to 10euro) but with no idea of how much a phone call was, I was hesitant to try calling out. There was a flat screen TV, with several channels in English, French and German, so it was easy to find something to watch. Breakfast was excellent with a selection of sliced deli meats, breads, cheeses, yogurt, cereals, fruit, juice, coffee, teas, pastries and hard boiled eggs. We sat outside on the terrace with several families, including young children. We had a poor night sleep however because we could hear our neighbors thru the doors because of the hard wood floors. Also, our room was on the other side of the kitchen so unfortunately we heard all the banging/crashing of breakfast prep in the early hours of the morning. One thing they hotel offered that I wish we had taken advantage of (but didn't have time to) was their bike rentals. But we arrived later in the afternoon and were tired from a long drive. Also, it is supposedly "easy" to catch a bus (major bus stops just around the block) to the city center or to the EU buildings. We tried a suggested restaurant just down the street for dinner which was very nice outdoor dining, but also very expensive for the amount of food. I liked the hotel, but it just was a little too out of the way. I would recommend only for work travelers, and not really tourists.
Room Tip: Do NOT stay in Room 3 on the first floor!
