“Great stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

We stayed at the Sofitel Le Louise for 1 night and had a great time! It's a true 5 star hotel...
The staff is very professional and there's a warm and luxurious atmosphere throughout the hotel. Rooms are awesome and the bed was absolutely amazing! Breakfast is expensive, but worth its price (29 Euros per person). Crystal lounge was very hip, but expensive!

Only minor thing is that as since this a Belgian hotel, the staff does not speak Dutch at all, but overall a great experience!

“Great location, excellent hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

I stayed at the Sofitel Le Louise for a weekend trip from London to Brussels. The hotel was the perfect place for a young single female (or any one else) to stay! My room was gorgeous, clean, modern, and had a lovely view. Best of all, it was a great deal! I would highly recommend this hotel (and I already have to others!). If you can get a good deal on a room, book it and enjoy!!

“Great hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

We got a great price on the rooms by booking them many months in advance. We arrived an hour after check in time, and the rooms werent ready, however, they told us to sit in the bar and have a drink (which they gave us for free). They ended up upgrading us from the basic room to the next level up. We had to wait about an hour in the bar.

Very lovely rooms, they had quite a bit of space. Very modern which I personally love. The bathroom was very nice as well. The Hermes bath products were not my favourite but they were fine. Very cool rain shower. Very clean.

The hotel is not too far from the main part of Brussels, about a 20 minute walk. Not a very expensive cab ride either.

We ordered room service every morning - amazing breakfast! You can order A LOT off then menu for a fixed price (which was not cheap, but if you can eat a lot in the morning, definitely worth it!)

I would definitely stay there again. Found the staff very nice as well.

“good hotel good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

We stayed in this hotel for one night during our trip through Belgium in January 2012. The hotel is located just 15-20 minutes by foot from downtown. Subway station is just a few minutes from hotel. At the same time hotel's building is modern. And it's location is convenient - there are many shopping malls and restaurants just nearby the hotel. The hotel's design is modern. Rooms are not very big but comfortable.

“Nice beginning bad ending”

We stayed at the Sofitel Brussels Le Louise over the new year holiday & came away a bit disappointed. Checking in the staff were nice & friendly & we were lucky to get our room at 7Am no problem. The rooms are small but nice. Bed was tiny but comfortable. Room amenities were not great. The shampoo said Hermes but smelled absolutely horrid. Sometimes you got water & chocolate at turn down service.
The concierge was really great & helpful although when I asked to speak to him on a different day they said he was not working that day. They have only one? Food in the breakfast area is good with lots of nice choices. The restaurant was not great. The bar was a joke. We wanted to have a drink one night & stood at the entrance waiting to be seated somewhere & the staff ignored us. So I went up to a staff member & asked to be seated , he just pointed to a table & said over there. So we sat down & waited to be served & again were ignored. Finally someone came over & just threw down menus & never said hello or welcome. So we just left & never got our drink. Bad bad service in bar area.
But the thing that really killed it for me at this hotel was when we were leaving. I asked to get change for a 500 Euro note from the front desk & the lady behind the counter told me she did not have it. I said "nowhere in the entire hotel is there change for a 500 note'? She said wait & I will call the accounting department. After a twenty five minute wait I went back to ask the status & she just said Oh we don't have it. I was watching this person the whole time I was waiting & I never saw here call anyone or get a call about it. It was just like she was waiting me out. I was really shocked at her " I don't care" attitude. Really a 500 Euro note is a problem for a major hotel like this? Just by comparison I asked 2 other hotels for the same & it was no problem I even got change for 500 Euro bill in a small antiques store in Brugge.
Her attitude really destroyed my experience at this hotel.
The hotel is also not in a great location, unless you want to do high end shopping.
We also stayed at the hotel Amigo in Brussels & loved it. Stay there it has a much better location, rooms are much bigger & the service at Amigo is top notch.
Avoid this hotel.
