This 3 star hotel is situated near Brussels-midi station and is about a 15 minute walk from the station. The surrounding area is very residential and seems to be a middle-eastern quarter. Streets can get very quiet at night. The city centre is about a 30 minute walk north and you get to see a lot more when you walk.
The rooms were clean and large with plenty of spaces for suitcases. It has a small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The corridor is a bit dark but the rooms are bright and the bathroom is big. Decor was a bit dated, but that didn't matter. Internet connection was a bit patchy, but we had the room furthest away from the wi-fi station.
Breakfast is included in the price and is worth it, with pastries, fruit, cold cuts and yoghurt as some of the breakfast items.
Staff are friendly and speak good English and presented us with a gift bag of belgian chocolates as a thank you when we checked out. Would recommend staying there if you want to be in a quiet location. It's a good base to catch trains to other towns in Belgium due to it's proximity to the station.
