Villa Royale is situated in the heart of the city, near botanical gardens and within walking distance to the Old City. There is also the train station in the nearby. This is typical city budget hotel offering good value accommodation in Brussels. The room are a little bit outdated, no modern equiped but funktional and good for short city break. Free WiFi in the room. The bathroom was celan. The staff at the front desk and in the breakfast room were friendly. The brekfast buffet is OK but only with some limited choice of food.

Thre was nothing good regarding the hotel - except the location (near Botanical gardens) and in walking distance to the city centre. This shouldn't be 4 * hotel! This is more in line of 1 - 2 * hotels! Room was dirty and breakfast very poor (one type of cheese, one type of salami, green and black olives, tomatoes, 2 sorts of cereals, milk (no yogurt at all!!!), bread, coffee and juice. And that was all - for 120 €per night!!! Pure robbery!! In addition to that, room was really dirty and during my stay cleaning lady only emptied the bean and made the bed. She even didn't collect the paper that was lying next to the bean. Closet was so dirty I haven't put clothes out of suitcase. There were no toiletries - one would expect that in 4 stars hotel. It's shabby yet expensive hotel!

The location it's good: close to metro station / 20 min waking to the center (Grand Place)
Rooms are spacious and in reasonable condition.
Good value for money deal.

The breakfast doesn't has much choice and on the second day you get sick of it
cleanliness: there was stains on the floor.

Good value for money for Brussels, and convenient to Gare du Nord. However, the room I had was extremely noisy due to the busy street outside. Breakfast was decent with a good variety of options. If you are only here for the weekend, this is worth considering. Also a short walk to City2 shopping mall and on to the major attractions (Grand Place, Royal Palace, etc.)
