“avoid + choose another”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

simply said, it's really not worth. nice location, yes, that's it.
a) the lift to 6th floor was not working
b) corridors and rooms on 6th floor were VERY stinky, a bad small of cloaks was everywhere
c) of course, the inside of the room was very stinky too
d) nobody at the lobby was able to give basic, basic infos about a street 500 mt away
e) at the lobby two stagers were left alone and they were not able to do things properly
f) price is equivalent to other similar hotels so simply choose another

“The hotel is very well located”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

The hotel is very well located. From Gare Centrale is literally a minute. First passed, came to the square, and the hotel was already behind him. Before the Grand Place 5-10 minutes unhurried pace. The rooms are spacious, beds are wide, comfortable mattresses and pillows, even tolerable.
The number, that a smaller (the windows out to the monument to Don Quixote and Sancho Panza)
That number, which a little more (the windows out to the square Grasmarkt)
Living in places a little, and sometimes even very much worn, but I can not say that this lack is likely imparted some charm and comfort. On the floor, carpeting, a safe, mini bar (prices - fear, so look for fun). Cabinet in a larger room was small but had a large chest of drawers (good).
The only perhaps disadvantage - the room was cool and the muzzle of the windows (not much, but still), is unlikely to freeze, but it was some discomfort.
Bathroom spacious, all valves are functioning well. In the bathroom did not shower, and a full bath. Of hygiene products - in small tubes of shampoo, shower gel and cream (replenished regularly), and hanging around the bathroom three in one tube.
There was no towel warmer, the weather was damp and dry after walking difficult. Hair dryer was fixed.
Were cleaned and towels changed regularly, it seems clear.
In the hallway did not have at least one of the hooks for coats, uncomfortable damp jacket hanging in the closet at once.
Another disadvantage is to pay an expensive and Internet access.
Breakfast is very decent. Place at the table is sufficient (though we usually go early, at about 7, impacted the time difference).
Soundproofing is not bad, but what happens in the hallway heard on the street - almost there

“Great location but tends to be noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

This is my 4th stay at this hotel. The location is good - close to the Grand Place & Gare Centrale, but sometimes that can make it noisy.

Plus points:
* Location - close to central station & tourist areas, feels safe
* Free breakfast - almost unheard of now at hotels in Brussels
* Good sized room for the price
* full bath - although some rooms I've had here didn't

Minus points:
* On check out there was a queue and nearly missed my bus, there was a 2nd member of staff hiding in the back, but they didn't come out to clear the queue
* Can be noisy! No real noise from other guests but in the early hours of the morning there seemed to be noises from a truck or something outside the hotel (I had a room facing the square). On a previous trip colleagues with rooms facing the rear also complained of noise of bins being emptied etc in the early morning

On balance I would stay here again, but maybe it wouldn't be first on my list in Brussels, probably due to the noise factor, although the free breakfast is a rare thing so I could be swayed! Quite often this hotel is out of my company's price range of £135 per night, but on this occasion it came within it.

“Very nice hotel in great location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Stayed here 1 night because I have found a fairly good deal. I usually stay in hotels in the 70-90 EUR category. This was definitely the nicest place, in fantastic location (2 mins from Grand Place) and the buffet breakfast was very nice too! I hope I will stay here again in the future!

“Great stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

The location is unbeatable. Right in the middle of everything. In two minutes you can get to the Grand Place. The square in front of the hotel has a special charm. Lots of places to eat nearby. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. The room was in classic style, average in size. We had an amazing view towards the square and Grand Place. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone.
