Over the past 4 years, I've stayed at the Sabina, probably four times. It has always met my needs when I'm on business in Brussels. I have continued to stay there for the location, the free wifi and the uniformly excellent staff. It is nice to have a place I can consider "home" when in town.

I booked two rooms at Hotel Sabina without reading the tripadvisor reviews. As our taxi was taking us from the airport to the hotel I pulled up the reviews on my phone and strongly considered eating the cost of my deposit and going to another hotel but I figured I'd check it out. When we got there I was surprised by its relatively central location and very comfortable accomodations.

I think the previous reviewers thought they would be staying at a high class hotel which Hotel Sabina is definitely not. But the rooms were clean and the bathrooms, although small were adequate and also clean.
The breakfast is your standard European breakfast with pastries, toast, cheese, cereal, coffee, juice and tea. The man working the front desk (at all hours) was extremely friendly and helpful. He let us make two phone calls and allowed one of my roommates to print his boarding pass for our return flight.

The hotel is a quick 10 minute walk to the touristy area and has many restaurants on the way.

Have stayed in this hotel twice. 2 years ago in summer and this November. First time room was fine, overall no complaints. This time - huge disappoitment. Do not let the pictures in the sites to mislead you. I made booking trough www.booking.com. The price was down from around 400 Eur to 150 Eur for 3 nights total which for Brussels is almost for free. However. The room (nr.1) was small, with no daylight, as window was painted and therefore not transparent. The only one advantage was bathroom, which was simple, clean and equiped with all you may need. Breakfast consisted of cheese, bread, jam and pastries. If you want to leave your luggage after the check out, you have to be aware that it stays in the reception area half unattended as staff may be not in the reception but in other part of the hotel. Actually, it should not be called hotel, it is hostel.

The room I got in this hotel was the smallest room I have ever stayed in and it didn't feel safe at all, considering that the hotel itself is located in the dark street in a middle of nowhere.
When I tried to get in the room, the door lock stayed in my hand, and I could not lock it afterwards.
The bed is the smallest one you can imagine, the bathroom as well...
