“Creaky floorboards add to its 'old school' charm”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

This former 'ladies finishing school' now converted into a hotel had character by the bucket load. There are no 21st century clean lines, just charm and interesting artifacts - reminded me a bit of the Adam's family home! Home is what it is & is run by Laure the grand-daughter of the ex-school "Directore", who is utterly charming and helpful.
Has a front garden, hedge, some parking which is very unusual as it is surrounded by modern buildings.
We loved our stay - mum and my 2 sisters stayed in 2 en-suite rooms for a two-night weekend in the fab city of Brussels.

“Amazing experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

In one word this hotel is lovelly!! I stayed here for a couple of nights and cannot say anything bad about this hotel, the room was big and clean, the staff was helpfull, there are transports close to the hotel to anywhere in the city and the hotel was calm and romantic.
Me and my girlfriend had an amazing stay in this calm yet historically filled and exciting hotel, we recommend this one to anyone wanting to run away and have a break.

Room Tip: Room number 7 was big and with a romantic view to the garden

“great hotel”

This hotel is absolutely lovely. It is an old building with lots of period features (check out the old radiator in the breakfast room). Its clean and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I stayed here for 3 nights whilst attending a conference. There is access to the internet (I had my own laptop) which cost mw 5 euros for 2 days. It pretty much has everything you would need - however if you like to use a hairdryer then you need to bring your own as the room doesn't have one.

“new management - chaos”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2011

people found this review helpful

This is a place where I have been for many years and, even though a few things were not perfect, I found it nice; now, a new management is in place since the beginning of 2011 and it is a complete chaos: no breakfast available and no service whatsoever before 7.20 in the morning instead of 7, employees being completely lost, was asked to pay in cash as soon as I arrived - because the credit card machine did not work- , etc... It looks like I will have to find a new hotel in Brussels

“Not Fawlty Towers but it has little twin towers!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2010

Les Tourelles is a traditional looking nice hotel. It has nice personnel. The landlord speaks French, English and Dutch. It is situated on a quiet lane in a good residential quarter.
The rooms are standard. They could be kept a little tidier but you don't have much street-noise.
Public transport (e.g. tramway 23 with connection to pré-metro 3; bus line 60) stops before the hotel with good connections to the town-center and to the northern parts of the city.
