First up the location, it is within 15 minutes walk from the Gar Du Nord station & may be similar from the central station. So if one is not carrying heavy baggage then the Hotel can be reached easily on foot. In terms of location it is in fact quite close to the other larger Hotels like Sheraton & the Crowne Plaza. Also quite a few of the main tourist sites (Manniken, cartoon museum etc etc) are within walking distance as is also the main commercial/shopping street. The reception is manned by English speaking staff who are helpful & show great patience in answering to all queries. The Breakfast served is adequate, though some more hot food options would have been good. The room assigned to me was tidy & most importantly the toilet was quite clean.
Where this hotel loses out is that the rooms are really tiny, (I had a single room, single occupancy & honestly struggled a bit to balance a rather large suitcase I was carrying). The Bed perhaps a bit hard & a few more pillows would have helped. However it is a budget hotel & doesn’t pretend to be otherwise. For a two or three night stay if you are on a tight budget in the age group of 21 to 40, looking to stay at a central location in Brussels where in all probability during the day you will either be sightseeing or working & returning only late in the evening to sleep, this hotel fits the bill adequately. A fair price would be around Euro 65 with Breakfast for a single room per night.
