“OK, capital”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 April 2007

I stayed at Hotel Capital with some colleagues, during a business trip, when more central hotels were fully booked. You need a tram to the nearest underground station. My room was really small, but clean. There was no central heating but an electric heater that you switch on and off, so I guess it may be cold in a less favourable season. Other rooms were larger and better equipped. Breakfast was fairly basic, with yoghurts, orange juice, boiled eggs, bread and jam, with coffee out of thermos and no fesh brew or espresso available. The staff was very nice and pluringual. I would say that one could expect something more at €98 per night, still the hotel is adequate.

“Good Value, friendly service”

Got a room mid-week for under €75 including breakfast. Helpful & friendly staff. Room was basic but comfortable and free of noise from outside the hotel - small tv, mini-bar only on request but no self make tea/coffee facilities in room.

The continental breakfast was included - very nice range & presentation that was just as good as many 4 or 5 star hotels - served in bright airy room with view over small gardens.

Location great for commuting across Brussels as 3 minutes walk to major bus & tram routes on Avenue Louise.

If you mainly want your room to sleep & freshen up this is incredible value.

I stayed one night and had to cancel second night of my stay the next morning, they made no fuss about it and did not want any payment for the missed night.

Highly recommended, I will stay there again.

“Hotel (maybe Atel) Capital”

I regarded this as a 'find' since prices in March in Brussels can be a bit nuts. But initially 'finding' it was hard starting from the EU district with some bus routes redirected. It is best treated as being near Avnue Louise and getting off a tram at the Vleurgat stop. On the way to the hotel (a couple of blocks, some maps make it look like more) you will pass an Antalia kebab place that is really good!
My room faced a small park at the back and was quiet, the breakfast was fine, on a par with other 'standard' breakfasts (and the standard is high in Brussels). So, quite happy with knowing about this hotel for the next time I am stuck, although when prices are lower I would (and did) likely stay in a better location for EU district. This would not be too bad a location for going downtown but the trams did not seem really frequent at night.

“The Hotel Description is accurate”

I stayed one night at the Hotel Capital on a leisure break. It is quite new and does seem to cater for business travellers as stated on the Hotel information. The Hotel is a mile or so from the centre of Brussels and too far to walk back to at night. The rooms are quite modern in style but are beginning to look a little faded. I had a room at the back and the aspect was excellent, looking over a most attractive garden. The breakfast room has the same outlook, with huge glass windows and made a positive start to the day. The breakfast was continental and was adequate rather than comprehensive. Staff were helpful and pleasant. I needed a plug for my bath and received assistance at once to find one, although I had to go to another room to find one myself, because the receptionist could not leave the reception! I would have no hesitation about staying at the Hotel based on service and quality, but for me, it was a little off the beaten track.
