“good Value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

During our visit to Belgium we had to move Brussels for the last night.
A long search I've done online All prices for 4 guests were very high, Suddenly I found on Booking.com the hotel Brussels Hotel Belgium.
An examination of prices and conditions I've seen that can accommodate 2 children under 14 in for free!
we were a little nervous when we got to the hotel but the hotel was located was not bad, room was clean and wide enough, contained two large double beds and breakfast (buffet) was good.
We paid 64 euros for 4 people in the room + 26 euros breakfast for children, a total of 90 euros for 4 guests, including breakfast.

“Excellent location but...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

The hotel is very well positioned and there is a tram stop (No. 94 to take you to Louise or downtown) just infront of it. Interior is very outdated, furniture is quite old and the bahtroom is even older. There was no heating on my first night there, the sink did not work, neither did the TV. Nevertheless, everything was fixed the next day. The staff is very helpful and kind.

“Convenience and Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

Hotel very well located on Avenue Louise, close to centre and Louise/Ixelles areas. Buses and trams right opposite. 2 supermarkets and lots of small eateries right nearby. The rooms and beds are huge. Very clean and relatively quiet. The rooms have TVs and a minibar, big windows. No tea-making facility in the room, though. There is free WiFi and a computer for general use (but it wouldn't print my boarding passes...), and breakfast is available, bit I didn't try it. The man at reception helped me with finding restaurants and calling a cab. The decor is a bit oldish, but clean, so you can't fault it. I would say, for such a good location, definitely worth it.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the Avenue Louise. It is not noisy, and it's nice to see the city out...

“Much better out there...especially if you like a good shower!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

Just spent two nights here. Luckily I didn't have to spend too much time in the hotel.

Location: Situated on Avenue Louise close to a tram stop which will take you close to the centre of the city close to the Palais de Justice. It is not central though and a cab from the city centre at night will cost you about 15-20 Euros. A cab from Midi station is about 10 Euros The brand shops at the (city centre) northern end of Avenue Louise are good with some nice independents on streets off it.

Hotel: The room was tidy and clean and if two or three are going to share for a short break, it may be good value. Receptionists are polite and efficient. The decor was not good - I would describe the walls as urinal green in two shades with frayed red carpet. Can't really say when this would have been in fashion. One of the beds was no more than a put up. The worse aspect was the shower - was on the second floor. The water pressure was no more than a dribble and barely warm.

Conclusion: If you can share with friends to keep costs down on a short break and can overlook its obvious deficiencies then it may be for you. Don't however expect luxury or even some of the accepted basics such as a good shower. Colleagues of mine stayed at the nearby Warwick Barsey for less money.- that is quite eclectic but nice and very comfortable although breakfast costs €29 (we ate in a great local cafe just up the road)-- I gave up my room there to accomodate a latecomer on our trip. Not a good idea!

Room Tip: If you like a good shower, go elsewhere...

“Not recommended”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 October 2011

I stayed at the Brussels Hotel for one night and will never go back. It was a waste of time and money. The rooms of these hotels are huge, almost so to the point that staying there feels intimidating. I was in a room with two stories, with one toilet on the first floor and a bathroom on the second floor. The room was dated and dirty. The bed was on the top story and the ground floor had a sitting area with a sofa and a TV. The sofa was so dirty that I could not bring myself to sit on it. This hotel has two different sides with rooms, the "nicer" side, with fresh paint in the corridors and a fairly ok outlook. The less nice side had flaky paint on the walls and was dirty and dark. Those staying in the nicer part might have better experiences, however I was disgusted and even scared to stay there. Also, I forgot something at the hotel and never got it back, even though I called in a few hours after I had left and many times after on different days for around two weeks after my stay. When I made inquirys about my lost items, I was met by arrogant and annoyed staff who were unhelpful. I do not recommend this place.
