The location is excellent, just off the metro. Easy walk (approx 20 min) to old center. Restaurants and other services in proximity. Nice clean renovated rooms. Noisy hallway. Good breakfast.

I love this hotel!

After living in Brussels for several years I decided to revisit and stayed at Hotel Argus for its fab location (inbetween Metro Louise and Metro Porte de Namur – both going from Gare de Midi should you come with the Eurostar). The room was not as small as the other reviewers make out although I had booked a single room (I got room 25). It was clean, modern with desk, chair, TV and kettle for tea and coffee. I got a fantastic deal including breakfast and I can simply not fault this hotel for the price I paid. It is very quiet although just 20 metres away there is a big shopping street. Avenue Louise with all its fashion boutiques is only five minutes away. If you continue down from the hotel, cross the street, you will get into a park that has a lovely restaurant (l’Orangerie) that does dinners as well as fantastic weekend brunches (highly recommended). If you go through the park, you will eventually get to Sablon that is full of restos and an antiques market. From there you are just a few minutes from Grand Place. Enjoy!!!!

My boyfriend and I recently travelled to Brussels and spent one night at Hotel Argus. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful in terms of giving us directions and restaurant recommendations. The room was small, but clean, and the hotel was conveniently located... close to the metro and just a short walk from the main square. It's also in a high end shopping area, so there is lots of window shopping that can be done around the hotel. :) When we stayed, breakfast was included, and we thought that the overall value was great!

I had chosen this hotel for a single night because of the summer promotional rate, and the good reviews here. The hotel is a solid and honest 3 star value: good and safe location, quiet, tidy and well appointed rooms, friendly and helpful staff, free Internet, A/C, and a smart continental breakfast: Instead of the usual buffet, they bring a correct continental breakfast to the table, with a choice of eggs and omelette for a minor supplement. The minibar also has very reasonable rates - never before did I have two beers from the in-room fridge.
The hotel's regular rate is a bit expensive for Brussels, but they often offer promotional rates which make it a worthwhile choice, especially for single travellers. I probably would not have chosen this hotel (or rather, this hotel category) if I had brought my wife and/or stayed for more than one or two nights.
