Ok i am a self employed business person want to make a profit for my company by keeping costs down including hotel bills .
Unfortunately you get what you pay for especially this hotel .
On the upside the location is central and breakfast although basic comes included in the rate .Which seems to be less common these days . The rooms are 'ok' , jaded , needs a revamp but I am only interested in having a bed to sleep on and wifi .
However the walls between the rooms are unbelievably thin !There was one particular neighbour who just checked in and I believe was particularly louder than the average neightbour regardless of the thin walls and it got to the point that I had to change rooms because she was annoyingly loud ( non stop talking and singing etc etc ) . Unfortunately the receptionist would not allow me to change rooms because ' I was already using my room' . But how would I know if she was loud unless I was in the room .?
I noisy neighbours is not really the hotels fault but I was hoping that changing rooms would rectified that .
Also I not keen on the handing of the key over when you have to go out because when I wanted to get my key I had to wait ages because the receptionist was talking to another customer . Fair enough I was probably not in a great mood as it sub zero temperatures outside and I just want to go to my room and crash out .
But the key thing needs to change .
I had a bit of deja vu with this hotel and then I remembered many years ago that I have stayed here before and on that occasion the receptionist was extremely rude because they made a mistake with my booking .
And now I will make a written note not to stay here again - unless each room comes with complementary ear plugs .
